Dietitian


Job Description 

  • Ensures that all policies and procedures are maintained.
  • To deal timely and appropriately with all in-patient’s complaints and suggestions.
  • Ensures hygiene standards of all areas and food safety.
  • Maintains records, statistics and reports as required.
  • Keeps the Head Dietitians informed of daily activities and problems encountered.
  • Supervises the cleanliness and orderliness of the department.
  • Checks the diet list
  • Plans modified menus
  • Prepares food production request and cook’s guide
  • Records patients census daily
  • Supervises food preparation and check dishing out of food
  • Prepares tube feeding formula
  • Accepts telephone calls and inquires
  • Diet computations
  • Wards rounds and dietary counselling
  • Participate in department meeting
  • Participate in training programs

 

Qualification 

  • Graduate of a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Registered Dietitian
  • Experience in hospital food service setting
  • Broad knowledge of food preparation and cooking methods and local food service sanitation codes and practices when dealing with equipment, food supplies, food handling, physical plant, and personnel
