Vascular Technologist
Job Description:
- Ensures proper scheduling, confirmation and giving of instructions to patients.
- Does proper charging of procedures.
- Regularly checks the unit supplies.
- Properly conducts ultrasound machine and treadmill procedures.
- Efficiently conducts Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring procedure to patients.
- Conducts Holter Monitoring procedure.
- Ensures the proper uploading, downloading, encoding and filing of patient results observing confidentiality.
- Regularly disinfect each machine and procedure room.
- Performs other related duties assigned.
- Assesses patients and family learning needs related to patient care.
- Delivers patient teaching according to identified learning needs. Procedures and treatments are explained to the patient using an interpreter as required.
- Evaluates effectiveness of patient and family teaching sessions; documents on the interdisciplinary Patient Teaching Record, or in the outpatient progress notes.
- Demonstrates understanding of environmental safety, maintenance infection control standards and related policies and procedures. Demonstrates familiarity with the hospital’s Environment of Care (EOC) program including fire and general safety procedures.
- Applies infection control standards in practice; maintains a clean and safe environment of care. Completes daily environmental monitoring as assigned to ensure that standards are met.
- Take appropriate actions to ensure compliance with Environment of Care (EOC) requirements.
- Performs duties with minimal supervision; accepts accountability for decisions and actions. Accepts the responsibilities of higher position if assigned.
Qualification:
- Preferably Registered Radiologic Technologist or Registered Nurse
- With Certification on Basic Cardiac Sonography
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion while performing duties
